Catherine’s most defining purpose in life was to love and nurture. In 1987 her first grandchild Billy was born. According to Catherine when she first held her grandson the nurse pointed out the baby’s big dark eyes and said to Catherine, “This one will be a heart breaker.” To which Catherine replied, “Yes, and it will be my heart that he will break.” She helped to raise her grandson throughout his life. In 1997 her next heartbreaker was born. She was the first to hold her granddaughter Courtney Louise and from that moment on there was special bond that would never break. After Courtney passed in 2005, Catherine was never quite the same. She became reclusive and very rarely went down the stairs keeping to her bedroom. Catherine passed on her 68th birthday, she now rests with Courtney.
